The Great Southern Region of Western Australia is a top tourist destination featuring Albany, Denmark, Mt Barker, Walpole, the Porongurups, Stirling ranges and surrounds. Many visitors find the Great Southern Region a touring surprise and pleasure with all it has to offer. We welcome all visitors to come and enjoy the Great Southern hospitality.

Tempt your taste buds as you choose local wineries, breweries, cidery’s, cheese, toffee and chocolate factories, ice cream, local seafood and produce. Whether you’re seeking a weekend getaway or spending a day or more in this spectacular southern region, give yourself time to appreciate nature, history or taste sensations. You’ll be spoilt for choice.

Discover the rich indigenous and colonial history of the region. Albany is the oldest settlement of WA before the Swan river colony 3 years later in Perth, outdated by the local indigenous Noongar culture over 40 thousand years before.

View unspoiled coastlines with squeaky white sands, majestic canopies of karri and marri trees on a treetop walk or by driving through winery trails to taste local produce of passionate family owned vineyards, brewers, restaurants and cafes.

Explore national parks with rugged granite outcrops and peaks dusted by occasional snow in winter. Cruise the  rivers and waterways to view  whales, birds and wildlife, wildflowers in season and learn about the local historic places of interest.

Take home some selections to savour and memories to cherish any season of the year.
